Saud Islam’s Century Guides United Hurricanes to 63-Run Victory in AKG Premier League.

Mohammad Nizam Karachi (Sports Reporter): In a dominant performance at the AKG Premier League Season 2, United Hurricanes triumphed over Super Kings by 63 runs in Round 4, with a brilliant century from their captain, Saud Islam, leading the way.

Batting first, United Hurricanes posted a formidable total of 187/4 in their 20 overs. Saud Islam played a captain’s knock, scoring an unbeaten 104 off 64 balls, which included 12 boundaries and 4 sixes. His aggressive innings was the first century of the tournament. Umair Qureshi contributed with 35 runs, and Zahid Iqbal added a quickfire 18 runs from just 8 balls. Sabir Khan was the pick of the Super Kings’ bowlers, claiming 3 wickets for 45 runs.

In response, the Super Kings were bowled out for 123 runs in 18.2 overs. Shahbaz Karim top-scored for his team with 42 runs off 26 balls, including 7 fours and 1 six. However, Mohammad Ayaz was the standout performer with the ball, taking an impressive 4 wickets for 21 runs, while Saud Islam and Deedar Akbar chipped in with 2 wickets each.

At the conclusion of the match, Mushtaq Bhai, Senior Member of AKG, presented Saud Islam with the Player of the Match award for his outstanding century and his two-wicket performance.

The tournament will continue with the 5th and final round on March 14, where Astrom Warriors will face off against Super Kings at 1:30 PM.
