Global Community Must Ensure Kashmiris’ Right to Self-Determination: Sardar Waqas Inayat.

Jeddah (By Noor-ul-Hassan Gujar):  Sardar Waqas Inayat, former Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Community Overseas, has called on the international community to fulfill its moral and legal obligations by ensuring the right to self-determination for the people of Kashmir, as outlined in United Nations resolutions.

Speaking in Jeddah, Inayat emphasized that Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and urged the global powers to break their silence and stand up for the oppressed Kashmiri people. He strongly condemned ongoing human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir and expressed disappointment over the lack of effective action by international organizations.

“The time has come for the United Nations and major world powers to make sincere and concrete efforts to resolve the Kashmir issue. Without this, lasting peace in South Asia will remain elusive,” he stated.

Inayat also paid glowing tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their courageous response to external aggression, noting that their valor has filled the nation with pride. “Pakistan’s defense is in capable hands, and the stories of our soldiers’ sacrifices and patriotism will be remembered for generations to come,” he said.

He reiterated that the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan are non-negotiable and declared that the entire nation stands united with its armed forces, ready to thwart any hostile agenda.

Sardar Waqas Inayat’s remarks served as a strong reminder of the ongoing struggle of the Kashmiri people and the unwavering support they continue to receive from Pakistanis at home and abroad.
