JKCO Hosts Kashmir Solidarity Day Event in Jeddah
Strong Community Turnout for Kashmir Cause
Jeddah – A special event was organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Community Overseas (JKCO) Saudi Arabia to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day. Held in Jeddah, the gathering drew a large audience, including Pakistanis, Kashmiris, political leaders, religious figures, and social activists.
The event was presided over by Engineer Arif Mughal, Acting Chairman of JKCO, and hosted by Raja Shamroz Khan. The Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah, Khalid Majeed, attended as chief guest. Sardar Inayatullah Arif, former Advisor to the President of Azad Kashmir, served as guest of honor.
Call for Global Attention to Kashmir
The program began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Muhammad Asif. Speakers strongly condemned Indian human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir and urged the international community to act.
Sardar Ashfaq Ahmad Khan, former JKCO chairman, emphasized the significance of Kashmir Solidarity Day. He highlighted the struggle of Kashmiris and their right to self-determination under UN resolutions.
Chaudhry Akram Gujjar, Chairman of PML-N Saudi Arabia, and Masood Ahmad Puri, Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, also addressed the gathering. Both condemned India’s oppressive policies and affirmed support for Kashmiri freedom.
Pakistan’s Continued Support Reaffirmed
Consul General Khalid Majeed reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to the Kashmir cause. He called for the United Nations to implement relevant resolutions and resolve the conflict peacefully.
Sardar Inayatullah Arif thanked Pakistan’s people and armed forces for their ongoing solidarity. He described the symbolic bond Kashmiris share with Pakistan, mentioning the tradition of wrapping martyrs in Pakistani flags. He also urged Pakistan to take stronger diplomatic steps in support of Kashmir.
Event Ends with Patriotic Unity
Several prominent community members, including Sardar Mehtab Sarwar and Khurshid Ahmed Matyal, were in attendance. They voiced their continued support for the Kashmiri people and praised JKCO for organizing the event.
In his closing remarks, Engineer Arif Mughal reiterated the community’s unified stance against Indian oppression. He called for an end to the suffering in Kashmir and reaffirmed Pakistan’s moral and political support.
The event concluded with a patriotic song by Qari Sultan, followed by a special prayer for the martyrs of Kashmir and Palestine, and for Pakistan’s peace and prosperity.
