Kashmir Solidarity Day: J&K Community in Saudi Arabia Holds Event to Support Kashmir.

Jeddah (Noor-ul-Hassan Gujjar): The Jammu & Kashmir Community Overseas (JKCO) Saudi Arabia organized a special event in honor of Kashmir Solidarity Day. The event, held in Jeddah, was attended by a large number of Pakistani and Kashmiri community members, political leaders, religious figures, and social activists.

The Consul General of Jeddah, Khalid Majeed, was the chief guest, with Sardar Inayatullah Arif, former Advisor to the President of Azad Kashmir, as the guest of honor. Engineer Arif Mughal, Acting Chairman of JKCO, presided over the event, which was hosted by Raja Shamroz Khan.

The program began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Muhammad Asif. Sardar Ashfaq Ahmad Khan, former chairman of JKCO, addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of Kashmir Solidarity Day. He highlighted the ongoing atrocities in Indian-occupied Kashmir and called on the international community to help ensure Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

Chaudhry Akram Gujjar, Chairman of PML-N Saudi Arabia, and Masood Ahmad Puri, Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, also expressed strong support for the Kashmiri people and condemned India’s actions in Kashmir. Dr. Sajjad, in his remarks, stressed the importance of unity among Pakistanis to achieve freedom for Kashmir.

Consul General Khalid Majeed reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmir cause, condemning Indian human rights violations and urging the United Nations to resolve the issue according to international resolutions.

Sardar Inayatullah Arif thanked Pakistan’s army and people for their continued support. He spoke about the deep connection Kashmiris have with Pakistan, pointing to their tradition of honoring martyrs with Pakistani flags. He called for stronger measures from Pakistan to support the Kashmir cause.

Prominent community members like Sardar Mehtab Sarwar, Khurshid Ahmed Matyal, and others attended and voiced their support for Kashmir.

Engineer Arif Mughal, in his closing speech, reiterated Pakistan’s support for Kashmir and called for an end to Indian oppression. The event concluded with a patriotic song by Qari Sultan, expressing solidarity with Kashmir.

A special prayer was offered at the end for the martyrs of Kashmir and Palestine, and for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan.
