TRAME Unveils ENLACE: Merging Generative Design with Traditional Craft at Downtown Design Riyadh.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: At Downtown Design Riyadh, TRAME introduced ENLACE, a groundbreaking collection of generative bistro chairs created in collaboration with renowned design studio Aranda\Lasch and iconic French furniture maker Maison Louis Drucker. Making its Saudi debut, ENLACE reimagines the classic Parisian café chair by blending digital algorithms with traditional hand-weaving techniques.

Visitors to TRAME’s booth engaged directly with a custom algorithm powered by Art Blocks Engine, allowing them to generate unique chair patterns in real-time. These designs, once finalized, are woven by Maison Drucker’s master artisans, fusing computational creativity with heritage craftsmanship.

“ENLACE is a celebration of innovation and tradition,” said Ismail Tazi, CEO of TRAME. “It brings new life to a French cultural icon while exploring the creative power of digital tools in the hands of expert craftspeople.”

The collection highlights how technology can enhance not replace craft, enabling new forms of artistic collaboration. As part of TRAME’s broader mission, ENLACE represents a forward-looking approach to design, where code and craft coalesce to shape the future of handmade objects.
