Armed Forces make the nation proud, says Khalid Majid

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah marked Youm-e-Takbeer and Youm-e-Tashakur with great enthusiasm, honoring the courage of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and celebrating national resilience.

The event took place at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Auditorium of Pakistan International School Jeddah – English Section (PISJ-ES). It was attended by representatives of Pakistan’s three armed forces, community leaders, Saudi guests, schoolchildren and their parents, consulate officials, and media representatives.

Consul General Khalid Majid, in his opening remarks, praised the Armed Forces for their bravery, particularly during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsous. He highlighted the significance of gratitude and national pride. He also expressed appreciation to China and Saudi Arabia for their continued support and thanked all contributors to the event’s success.

Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, Masood Puri, reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people and urged the global community to resolve the Kashmir dispute per UN resolutions.

Press Consular Mohammed Irfan commended the Armed Forces’ professionalism and extended gratitude to the Consul General for his support in organizing the event.

The program began with a Quran recitation by student Abdul Shakour, followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Highlights included patriotic tableaus by PISJ-ES students and a musical performance by Saudi-born Pakistani singer Naeem Sindhi.

The event concluded with a heartfelt prayer by Qari Muhammad Asif for the prosperity of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the martyrs who sacrificed for peace.
