The Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah, in collaboration with Pakistan International School Jeddah, held a grand “Youm-e-Tashakkur” (Day of Gratitude) ceremony to honor the Pakistan Armed Forces for their remarkable success in Operation “Bunyān al-Marsūs.”
The event drew a large gathering of Pakistani community members, consulate officials, military officers, teachers, parents, and students. The school campus was adorned with national flags and patriotic banners, creating a spirited and heartfelt atmosphere.
Consul General Khalid Majid commended the Armed Forces for their valor and professionalism, reaffirming the overseas Pakistani community’s unwavering support. Chairman Kashmir Committee Masood Ahmed Puri paid tribute to the military and reiterated Pakistan’s support for the people of Kashmir, calling for a resolution based on UN resolutions.
Students of Pakistan International School captivated the audience with patriotic performances, including a military-themed tableau and national songs by singer Naeem Sindh. Special video presentations also marked Youm-e-Takbeer (May 28), celebrating Pakistan’s nuclear achievements.
The highlight of the event was a bilingual Urdu-Arabic anthem, presented by Press Counselor Irfan Chaudhry, symbolizing the enduring Pakistan-Saudi Arabia friendship. The ceremony concluded with prayers for Pakistan’s peace and prosperity, earning widespread praise as a powerful tribute to national unity and the Armed Forces.
