Imam of Prophet’s Mosque Emphasizes Sincere Worship and Direct Devotion to Allah

In his Friday sermon at Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Suleiman Al-Muhanna delivered a heartfelt message urging Muslims to maintain sincere devotion and walk steadfastly on the Straight Path.

Sincere Worship: The Key to Divine Proximity

Sheikh Al-Muhanna emphasized that true success lies in adhering firmly to righteousness.

“The guided individual seeks nearness to Allah without deviation,” he said.

He explained that the most beloved acts to Allah are obligatory duties performed with sincerity. Voluntary worship, noble character, and humility further elevate one’s spiritual standing.

Pathway to Joy and Divine Mercy:

The Imam highlighted the joy and peace that come from closeness to Allah.

“The soul rejoices in nearness to its Lord,” he stated, noting that those who remain devoted will be greeted at death with comfort and divine provision.

He reassured worshippers of Allah’s vast mercy, reminding them that repentance is always accepted for those who return with faith and righteous deeds.

Warning Against Intermediaries:

Sheikh Al-Muhanna warned against placing intermediaries between the believer and Allah.

“Islam forbids seeking help through the dead or turning to graves and idols,” he reminded.

He stressed that direct connection with Allah is a foundational principle of faith.

Upholding the Prophetic Path:

Concluding his sermon, Sheikh Al-Muhanna affirmed that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) conveyed the complete and final message.

“No one can draw closer to Allah except through what He has legislated and what the Prophet taught,” he said. “Every other path is invalid.”

The sermon served as a profound spiritual reminder for Muslims worldwide to worship with sincerity, remain on the righteous path, and maintain direct, humble ties with their Creator.
