TN Media News Islamabad: Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), paid a visit to the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD), under the National Heritage & Culture Division of the Government of Pakistan. During his visit, he met with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, the Director General of the NLPD, to discuss the promotion and development of national languages in Pakistan.
In their meeting, Mr. Akram praised Prof. Dr. Mazhar for his exemplary leadership and commitment to advancing linguistic policies and enhancing the use of national languages across various sectors of Pakistani society. He commended Dr. Mazhar’s significant contributions in this area, recognizing the role of language in fostering unity and cultural identity.
Prof. Dr. Mazhar, in turn, expressed his appreciation for Mr. Akram’s advocacy of the “community with a shared future” concept, which promotes inclusive cooperation and mutual respect among diverse communities. The two leaders discussed potential collaborative initiatives between their organizations, including joint events, conferences, and seminars aimed at promoting cultural exchange and the use of national languages.
Both Mr. Akram and Prof. Dr. Mazhar agreed on the importance of building bridges through shared cultural initiatives and educational programs that could further strengthen Pakistan’s linguistic and cultural fabric.
As a gesture of appreciation, Prof. Dr. Mazhar presented Mr. Akram with a collection of new publications from the National Language Promotion Department, highlighting the department’s ongoing efforts to advance national languages and cultural heritage in Pakistan.
