Agthia Group Announces CEO Transition to Fuel Next Growth Phase.

Abu Dhabi, UAE: Agthia Group has announced a leadership change as part of its ongoing transformation and growth strategy. Salmeen Al Ameri will take over as Managing Director and CEO, effective June 2, 2025. Alan Smith, the current CEO, will transition to an advisory role after leading the company since 2020.

Under Smith’s leadership, Agthia experienced significant growth, expanding its business segments from two to four, completing six strategic acquisitions, and more than doubling its revenue from AED 2.1 billion in 2020 to AED 4.9 billion in 2024.

Al Ameri, who has been Vice Chairman of Agthia since May 2020, brings extensive experience in the food and agriculture sector. He has been instrumental in shaping Agthia’s 2030 strategy and international expansion. His deep knowledge of the business ensures a smooth leadership transition as the company continues to focus on organic growth, digital transformation, and innovation.

Khalifa Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Agthia, expressed gratitude to Alan Smith for his leadership and welcomed Al Ameri’s appointment, emphasizing his proven track record in driving innovation and business resilience.
