England Thrash West Indies by 238 Runs to Take 1-0 Lead in ODI Series.

BIRMINGHAM: England delivered a dominant all-round performance to crush West Indies by 238 runs in the first ODI at Edgbaston on Thursday, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Batting first, England piled up a massive 400/8, with half-centuries from Jacob Bethell (82), Ben Duckett (60), Joe Root, and Harry Brook. Jayden Seales was the pick of the West Indies bowlers, taking 4/84.

In reply, West Indies were bundled out for just 162 in 26.2 overs, with Saqib Mahmood (3/32) and Jamie Overton (3/22) dismantling the batting order. Despite a late 38-run stand for the final wicket, the visitors never posed a challenge.

The second ODI will be played on Sunday.
