Global Honor at Skytrax Awards: flynas, Saudi Arabia’s leading budget airline, has been named the Best Low-Cost Airline in the Middle East for the eighth straight year. The award was announced during the Paris International Air Show, one of the most prestigious events in global aviation.
The Skytrax World Airline Awards are based on millions of traveler surveys from across the globe. With this latest honor, flynas has also secured a spot among the world’s top 10 low-cost carriers.
Recognition of Quality and National Vision: flynas CEO Bander Almohanna attributed the achievement to the dedication of the airline’s team and the leadership of Saudi Arabia. “This award reflects our commitment to quality, affordability, and the Kingdom’s growing presence in global aviation,” he said.
The recognition supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Civil Aviation Strategy. Both initiatives aim to position the Kingdom as a major international travel and logistics hub.
Expanding Routes and Impressive Milestones: Currently, flynas operates over 2,000 weekly flights across 139 routes in 30 countries. Since its launch in 2007, the airline has flown more than 80 million passengers.
The airline plans to expand its network to 165 destinations, further enhancing Saudi Arabia’s global connectivity.
A Symbol of Growth and Progress: flynas’ continued success highlights its key role in transforming the Kingdom’s aviation landscape. The repeated recognition also reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader ambitions in tourism, trade, and international mobility.
As the country works to diversify its economy, achievements like this affirm the strength of its aviation sector and the effectiveness of its long-term strategy.
