Sheikh Luqman Returns to Saudi Arabia on Special Mission to Aid Stranded Pakistanis.

By: Syed Mussarat Khalil, Jeddah: Renowned Memon community leader and founder of MASA (Memon Association of Saudi Arabia), Sheikh Luqman, has returned to Saudi Arabia on a special mission, after residing in Jeddah for 65 years and previously relocating abroad.

Sheikh Luqman is currently assisting in efforts to repatriate three Pakistani nationals Nazim Khan, Sumair Baloch, and Khurram Memon who, despite being declared innocent and released from Shamaisi Jail by the Saudi court on March 12, 2025, have yet to return to Pakistan.

The Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah, Mr. Khalid Majid, along with Welfare Consular Akif Iqbal, are actively working to resolve the matter. In the meantime, the three men are under the care of Wasim Tai, President of MASA, and supported by the Memon Welfare Society (MWS) in Jeddah, which is providing shelter and assistance on humanitarian grounds. MASA continues its vital welfare work under the leadership of Wasim Tai and General Secretary Sadik Sorathiya.

During his visit, Sheikh Luqman met with both the Consul General and Welfare Consular, expressing his gratitude for their continued cooperation. Speaking to the media, Sheikh Luqman confirmed that the case has now been forwarded to the Supreme Court in Riyadh, and he plans to travel there soon to personally follow up. He appealed to the community for prayers for the safe return of the three individuals.

“We need your blessings and prayers. May Allah bless everyone who is supporting this cause. Ameen,” he said.
