by: TN Media News: In a vibrant evening of cultural expression, King Saud University hosted a special performance by the Taweeq Arabic Music Chorus at Hamad Al-Jasser Theater, in collaboration with the Higher Institute of Musical Arts Training (Music Home) and the university’s College of Arts.
The event, part of ongoing efforts to promote arts and music in Saudi Arabia under Vision 2030, featured over two hours of diverse Arabic musical performances directed by Dr. Ayman Taysser. The concert attracted a large audience of officials, academics, artists, and media professionals.
Founded in 2024, the Taweeq Chorus includes over 100 young Saudi and Arab vocal talents and aims to preserve and promote Arab musical heritage. Dr. Taysser emphasized the chorus’s role in nurturing local talent and enhancing cultural appreciation through professionally curated musical programs.
Moataz Al-Shabana, CEO of the Higher Institute of Musical Arts, highlighted the institute’s pioneering role in music education in the Kingdom, offering internationally accredited programs and the first official music diploma in Saudi Arabia. The institute plays a key role in spreading music education and supporting legislative development for musical institutions, aligning with the goals of enhancing cultural life under Saudi Vision 2030.
