KFUPM Ranks 67th in 2025 QS World Rankings, Marking Historic Leap.

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) has made a major leap in global academic standing. It secured the 67th position in the 2025 QS World University Rankings, up from 101st last year.

Academic and Research Advancements:
The university’s rise was driven by strategic reforms across academic, research, and administrative sectors. Nearly 100 new programs were launched. These include innovative undergraduate and graduate degrees tailored to emerging global needs.

Focus on Innovation and Entrepreneurship:
Notably, KFUPM introduced the region’s first entrepreneurship program. Under this initiative, students and researchers retain full ownership of their startups. This move reflects a growing emphasis on innovation and economic empowerment.

Technology-Driven Education:
Furthermore, the university adopted the FAST transformation model. It also implemented the AI+X initiative, which embeds artificial intelligence across all academic disciplines. AI has become a core subject required for every student.

Diversity and Inclusion:
KFUPM now has the world’s highest female enrollment rate in engineering. It has also welcomed students from over 75 countries, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Global Recognition Earned:
This achievement is being seen as a reflection of Saudi Arabia’s broader vision for educational excellence. As a result, KFUPM is now positioned among the world’s elite institutions.
