Muhammad Nizam Karachi: The AKG Premier League Season 2 has officially concluded its league stage, setting the stage for the highly anticipated Qualifier and Eliminator rounds. Four teams have qualified for the next phase, with Strom Warriors and Friends United securing top positions in the league.
Strom Warriors finished first, while United Thunders claimed second place, both advancing to the ‘Qualifier’ stage. In this crucial stage, the first and second-ranked teams will have a better chance of making it to the Final, scheduled for March 22.
The Qualifier will see the top two teams face off against each other, with the winner advancing directly to the AKG Premier League Season 2 Final, while the losing team will move on to the Eliminator 2.
United Thunders, finishing third, and Friends United, in fourth place, will meet in the first Eliminator match, which will take place on March 17. The winner of this match will progress to Eliminator 2, while the losing team will be eliminated from the tournament.
Eliminator 2, scheduled for March 19, will see the winner advance to the Final, while the loser will bow out of the competition.
The AKG Premier League Season 2 Final will be held on March 22 at the AKG Ground in Karachi, where the season’s champion will be crowned. All matches will kick off at 1:30 PM.
In the final league match, United Hurricanes triumphed over Aziz Damani with a convincing 7-wicket victory. The stage is now set for an exciting conclusion to the tournament, with the remaining teams vying for the prestigious title.
