Khatri Premier League Season 3 Drafting Ceremony Concludes in Style.

By: Muhammad Nizam | Karachi: The drafting ceremony for the Khatri Premier League (KPL) Season 3 took place on Tuesday night at Zarritta Banquet Hall in North Karachi, officially launching the new cricket season. Organized by the Muslim Khatri community, the event introduced seven teams, including newcomers Dhanday Fighters and Wada Hunters.

The ceremony opened with a recitation by Al-Haaj Mehmood-ul-Hassan Ashrafi and the national anthem. Former Test cricketer Tauseef Ahmed, who attended as chief guest, lauded the community’s cricketing talent and expressed optimism about the league producing future stars.

Season Launch and Fixtures:
KPL Season 3 kicks off on July 8, with defending champions Tungar Stars facing Dhanday Fighters. League matches will commence under floodlights at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium starting July 9. The final match is scheduled for August 2.

Prizes and Recognition:
The championship prize is PKR 200,000, while runners-up will receive PKR 100,000. Individual awards and trophies will be given to standout performers throughout the tournament.

Participating Teams: Tungar Stars, Soneja Soldiers, Bheja Tigers, Bachza Warriors, Dhaza Dabang, Dhanday, Fighters, Wada Hunters.

The event, hosted by Naseem Rajput, drew support from former cricketers, sponsors, dignitaries, and community leaders. The strong turnout highlighted the community’s commitment to youth development and local sports.

With fresh talent and strong backing, KPL Season 3 is set to deliver an exciting season of competitive cricket.
