Noor-ul-Hasan Gujjar Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: Pakistan’s first-ever single-country exhibition, Made in Pakistan, was inaugurated today at the Jeddah International Exhibition and Conference Centre. This marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s Middle East Reconnect Strategy. The three-day event, which showcases a wide range of Pakistani products, is set to enhance economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Despite the existing strong economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Mr. Kamal noted that there remains vast untapped potential and opportunities for mutual benefit. “Pakistan, with its 240 million people and abundant resources, offers a wide variety of investment and trade opportunities,” he added.

The Minister further emphasized the recent advancements in business relations, including 34 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) signed for business activities worth $2.8 billion, with ongoing discussions in sectors like energy, mining, agriculture, and human resources development.

“Saudi Arabia is the largest employment market for Pakistani manpower, and upcoming international events such as the World Expo and FIFA World Cup present immense opportunities for our partnership in human resource development,” Mr. Kamal remarked.

A total of 137 Pakistani companies are participating in this mega event, with business-to-business interactions expected to generate significant activity. The exhibition is seen as a platform to further strengthen trade and investment links between the two countries.

Distinguished Saudi officials, including Mr. Ibrahim Almubarak, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Investment, and Mr. Hassan Moejeb Alhwaiz, Chairperson of the Council of Saudi Chambers, were present at the inauguration. The event also attracted a large number of Saudi business community members and Pakistani business leaders, all expressing optimism that the exhibition would pave the way for more robust business relationships.
