India Defeats Pakistan by 109 Runs in PD Champions Trophy Match.

The Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Team suffered a heavy defeat against India in their opening match of the Four-Nation PD Champions Trophy T20 Cricket Tournament at the BOI Cricket Ground in Colombo on Sunday. India emerged victorious by a commanding margin of 109 runs.

India won the toss and opted to bat first, setting a challenging target of 161 runs. The Indian top order displayed excellent batting performances, with Nikhil Manhas leading the charge, scoring 59 off 47 balls, including three fours and as many sixes. Vikrant Keni contributed 37 runs off 23 balls, striking two boundaries and two sixes, while Kunal Phanase added 30 runs off 31 balls, hitting four fours.

Pakistan’s bowlers put up a valiant effort, with Wakif Shah taking two wickets for 22 runs, while Abdullah Ejaz claimed 1-26 and Momin Khan added 1-33. Despite their efforts, India managed to post a formidable total of 160/4 in their 20 overs.

Chasing the steep target of 161, Pakistan’s batting lineup collapsed under pressure. The team was all out for just 51 runs in 12.2 overs. Abdul Khaliq top-scored with an unbeaten 13 off 11 balls, while captain Abdullah Ejaz made 11 off 6, including a six.

India’s bowlers were in top form, with Majid taking 3 wickets for 24 runs. Jitendra and Narendra also impressed, claiming two wickets each, conceding just 5 and 6 runs, respectively.

The dominant performance by India ensured they secured a comfortable victory, while Pakistan will look to bounce back in their upcoming matches in the tournament.
