Oracle Launches Second Public Cloud Region in Riyadh to Support Vision 2030.

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Oracle has officially launched its second public cloud region in Saudi Arabia. The new Oracle Cloud Riyadh Region was introduced during a high-profile event attended by government leaders, customers, and strategic partners.

This milestone marks a major step in Oracle’s commitment to support Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation goals under Vision 2030.

Strengthening Cloud Infrastructure in the Kingdom

The Riyadh region is part of Oracle’s broader US $1.5 billion investment to expand its cloud infrastructure across Saudi Arabia. The region will be hosted in partnership with Center3, a local digital infrastructure provider.

With this launch, Oracle becomes the only global hyperscaler delivering a full suite of over 100 cloud services — including AI and analytics — across public, hybrid, and dedicated environments in the Kingdom.

Empowering Public and Private Sector Innovation

The new region is designed to help both public and private sector organizations migrate and scale workloads using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Customers can now access advanced services such as:

  • OCI Generative AI

  • Oracle Autonomous Database

  • HeatWave MySQL Database Service

  • Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes

  • OCI Supercluster

  • Oracle Cloud VMware Solution

These tools will support modern application development, advanced analytics, and AI-driven innovation.

Oracle’s Role in Advancing the Saudi AI Economy:

As part of Oracle’s distributed cloud strategy, the Riyadh region complements the existing Jeddah region and the upcoming NEOM cloud region.

The initiative directly supports Saudi Arabia’s ambition to grow its AI economy to $135.2 billion by 2030.

“With the rapid expansion of our cloud footprint in Saudi Arabia, Oracle is committed to helping the country achieve its goal of developing one of the strongest digital economies in the world,” said Richard Smith, EVP and GM, Oracle EMEA Cloud Infrastructure.

He added that the new Riyadh region will help accelerate cloud adoption and address data residency requirements, enabling faster innovation across all sectors.

Supporting Vision 2030 with Scalable Technology:

Oracle’s continued investment ensures that Saudi organizations have access to secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments, supporting the nation’s strategic vision for digital leadership.

The Riyadh launch confirms Oracle’s role as a key technology enabler in Saudi Arabia’s transformation journey.
