Pakistan PD emerged victorious by 10 runs against England PD in a rain-affected, thrilling encounter in the Physical Disability Champions Trophy Sri Lanka 2025. The match, played at the BOI Cricket Ground in Colombo, was shortened to 5 overs per side due to rain.
Match Summary: In their 5 overs, Pakistan PD posted a total of 72 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket. Ghulam Muhammad was the star performer with the bat, scoring a quick-fire 28 runs off 12 balls, including 2 fours and 3 towering sixes. Wicketkeeper batsman Saifullah Achakzai remained unbeaten with 26 runs off 11 balls, hitting 2 sixes and 1 four. Muhammad Arsalan contributed 13 runs off 8 balls with 1 four.
England PD’s Ben Sutton was the lone wicket-taker for his team, dismissing the only Pakistan PD batsman to fall for 18 runs.

Despite the win, Pakistan was unable to reach the final due to India’s remarkable defeat of England. India topped the group with 10 points after winning 5 out of 6 matches, while England secured their place in the final with 8 points from 4 wins and 2 losses.
Man of the Match: For the second consecutive match, Ghulam Muhammad was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance, scoring 28 runs and helping Pakistan PD secure a narrow win. The award was presented by General Secretary of India Physical Disability Cricket Association, Ravi Chauhan, General Secretary of Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association, Amiruddin Ansari, and Media Manager Mohammad Nizam.
This victory marks Pakistan PD’s third win in the tournament, but unfortunately, they will not progress to the final.
