Pakistan PD Defeats Sri Lanka PD by 90 Runs in Physical Disability Champions Trophy Sri Lanka 2025.

Pakistan PD defeated Sri Lanka PD by 90 runs in the Physical Disability Champions Trophy Sri Lanka 2025, securing their second victory in the tournament. Pakistan PD posted a total of 212 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, and Sri Lanka PD could only manage 122 runs for 8 wickets in response.

Opening batsman Huzaifa Khan played a brilliant knock, scoring 67 runs off 53 balls, including 6 fours and 2 sixes. All-rounder Ghulam Muhammad contributed with both bat and ball, scoring 52 runs off 28 balls, which included 5 fours and 3 sixes, and taking 1 wicket for 23 runs. Wicketkeeper batsman Saifullah added 31 runs off 12 balls, with 3 sixes and 2 fours. Mohammad Noman remained unbeaten on 19 runs off 9 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six, while Mohammad Shehzad contributed 18 runs off 9 balls, with 3 fours.

Sri Lanka PD’s bowlers MIM Akram (1 wicket for 26 runs), Danushaka Weerakkody (1 wicket for 31 runs), and Isuro Fernando (1 wicket for 42 runs) were the key wicket-takers.

In their chase of 212, Sri Lanka PD struggled to find momentum. Gayan Gunarathne top-scored with 29 runs off 24 balls, which included 4 fours and 2 sixes, while Dulan Priyashantha remained unbeaten on 26 runs.

Pakistan PD’s bowlers were exceptional, with Shahid Wattoo taking 3 wickets for 18 runs. Left-arm spinner Waqif Shah was also effective, claiming 2 wickets for 23 runs. Ghulam Muhammad, Hammad Shaukat, and Zubair Saleem each took 1 wicket.

At the end of the match, General Secretary of the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association, Amiruddin Ansari, along with the President of the Sri Lanka Physical Disability Cricket Association, Lakshan Fernando, presented the Man of the Match award to Ghulam Muhammad for his outstanding all-round performance.
