Karachi (Sports Reporter) – The Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Team has officially commenced its training camp for the upcoming Physical Disability Champions Trophy 2025, set to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from January 12. The camp began on January 4 at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy (RLCCA) in Gulberg, Karachi, as the team intensifies its preparations for the prestigious tournament.
Head Coach Sabih Azhar, along with General Secretary of the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA), Amiruddin Ansari, addressed the players, covering key aspects such as batting, bowling, fielding, mental toughness, fitness, skill development, and the importance of patriotism. They also offered prayers for the success of the national team in the upcoming competition.
The afternoon training sessions saw national players engaging in a series of drills focused on fielding, batting, and bowling under the expert supervision of Head Coach Azhar. His coaching staff, including assistants Rao Javed, Rafi Hashmi, and Shakir Khilji, also contributed to the training, with video analysts and Media Manager Muhamm Nizam ensuring that all aspects of the camp were well documented and analyzed.
The camp at RLCCA will continue until January 8, after which the Pakistan PD team will depart from Karachi on January 9 to travel to Sri Lanka for the PD Champions Trophy.
As the team prepares for the tournament, all eyes will be on the national squad as they aim for success on the international stage.
